Report for the

Glo-Go Ball
Company
Presented by the Zuc Design Group
• We, the Zuc Design Group (led by Zaw and Phuc), are tasked
on creating alternative designs on the Glo-Go Ball’s packaging.
• We designed these alternatives for the original design is known
for rolling out of the shelf when put into display, hence, we
used flat-surface rectangular boxes as the company requested.

Original Design Alternate Designs

Who we are
• The shapes of the objects that we seek to package
are all 3D:
• Balls / spheres (consisting of 6cm in diameter)
Our Project • Rectangular prism packages which we load 8 balls in
per package (with cost of packaging being $4.20/m2)

Original Design

8 balls
8 x 6cm = 48cm

design, we plan to add
1 ball in our alternate design
1 x 6cm = 6cm

Our Designs a space that fits 8

balls.

Recommendation
Design Volume of Empty Amount of Cost of
Space (cm3) Packaging (m2) Packaging
($)
Original Design 452 cm3 9.61 m2 $40.37
Model 1 823 cm3 8.88 m2 $36.28
Model 2 823 cm3 8.64 m2 $37.29
Model 3 823 cm3 9.84 m2 $41.32

We believe Model 1 will replace the Original Design, due to it having one of the least Packaging amount,
compact size, and because of its cheap cost in packaging.
