Coverage (RSCP) Plot
CL3-Uu_ActiveSe t_RSCP_0 (dBm)
Below -95.00 (214) 1.5%
>= -95.00 to < -85.00 (3209) 22.3%
>= -85.00 to < -80.00 (3065) 21.3%
Above -80.00 (7890) 54.9%
The result shows great coverage with 98.5 % of the samples having RSCP >=95 dBm.
As shown above 94.3% of the routes have good quality but 5.7% have bad quality(EcNo less than -13dB) which resulted
from overshooting cells and pilot pollution.

Uplink Coverage(UE TX Power) Plot
CL3-UE_TxP ow (dBm)
Be low 0.0 (11567) 85.0%

>= 10.0 to < 15.0 (127) 0.9%
>= 15.0 to < 20.0 (2) 0.0%
Above 20.0 (12) 0.1%
The DT result shows the proportion of the UE Tx Power less than or equal to 10 dBm is greater than or equal to 99%
implying good Uplink Coverage.

>= 24.0 to < 30.0 (6490) 51.0%
97.4 % of the CQI distribution is >=12 which good, the bad part is only 2.6%.

HSDPA Application Throughput Plot
CL2-App_Throughput_DL (kbps)
Be low 384.00 (1204) 12.5%

>= 512.00 to < 1024.00 (1442) 15.0%
Above 1024.00 (6523) 67.7%
The overall throughput of Hawasa Cluster three is good with 67.7 % of the samples having DL application throughput
greater than 1Mbps and 19.8% have fair throughput between 384Kbps and 1Mbps but 12.5% have bad throughput of less
than 384Kbps.We should optimize these bad performing areas.

LOW HSDPA THROUGHPUT ANALYSIS(Area one)
Problem Identified
DL Power Congestion at 2079 S3,2082 all
sectors, 2084 S2 & S3 and 2085 S2.
2085 SC 256 Overshoots in the direction of
2082.
Max Number of Eul & Hsdpa Users is set
below capacity at 2084 which contributed to
high RAB congestion.
The area with bad data throughput is mostly
served by 222084 S2 which is congested and
relatively far.It should be served by the
nearby site 222079 where there is no
congestion.
Countermeasures
Adjust pwrAdm threshold from 75% to 85%
Hawasa CL3-App_Throughput_DL (kbps) for 2079 S3,2082 all sectors, 2084 S2 &
Below 384.00 (305) 15.1% S3,2085 S2 & 2082 all sectors.
>= 384.00 to < 512.00 (144) 7.1%
>= 512.00 to < 1024.00 (670) 33.1% Up tilt Electrical Tilt of 2079 S1 from 9 to 8
Above 1024.00 (903) 44.7% and adjust Azimuth of the same sector from
10 to 0 .
04/18/2021 SR- Regional Wireless Optimization Team
At 2084 Adjust maxNumEulUsers &
maxNumHsdpa Users from 20 to 128.
LOW HSDPA THROUGHPUT ANALYSIS(Area
Two)
The low throughput area circled above is resulted mainly from lack of dominant cell, congestion at 2097 & 2093 and quality
problem. Details presented in the next slide.
Countermeasures
Adjust pwrAdm threshold from 75% to 85% for 2087 S2 & S3,2090 S1 & S3,2097 S1 & S3 and 2093
S2 & S3
Since 2097 S3 is congested and relatively far, it is better if 2090 S3 which is less congested is made
dominant in the area by adjusting azimuth direction from 280 to 310 and up-tilting ET from 6 to 5.
In addition down tilt 2097 S3 ET from 5 to 6.
Countermeasures
Adjust pwrAdm threshold from 75% to 85% for
2083 S2 & S3,2087 S2 & S3,2080 S2 &S3.
Change Azimuth of 2077 S1 from 0 to 10,adjust
ET of 2082 S2 from 3 to 4.
3 ANALYSIS
4 KPI ANALYSIS
The maximum number of simultaneous HS users is set below license capacity at 222077,222078,222080,222084 and 222090
which accounted for low accessibility. Others have good HSPA and EUL accessibility.

RRC and RAB congestion is observed in almost all sites the prominent reasons being shortage of UL and DL Channel Element. In
addition, there is DL power limitation in most sites. License expansion is required for CE especially in the DL.

Monthly Data traffic in Hawasa CL3 sites is high especially on sites shown in blue. It is better if these sites are considered for LTE
deployment considering the traffic volume and location

Channel Element Utilization-30 days
o As it can be seen above the purchased amount of CE is only a small proportion of the total hardware capacity especially in
downlink which resulted in overutilization of Channel Elements in most sites. This resulted in severe DL CE congestion.
Additional hardware activation code must be purchased from Ericsson to resolve the congestion and hence to get most
out of the network.
