 Located in the Saurashtra peninsula of Gujarat in western India

 Established: 1965

 Main Wildlife Found :Asiatic Lions, Leopards, Chowsingha, chital 

 Coverage area : 1412 sq km protected area of which 258 sq km is

National Park and 1153 sq km is sanctuary 
 Best time to visit : December till mid June(closed during monsoon

Sariska Wildlife Sanctuary
 Location :37-kms From Alwar, Rajasthan

 Nearest Access :Alwar (37-kms)

 Main Wildlife Found :Tigers, Leopards, Wild Dogs

 Coverage Area :765.80sq-kms

 Best Time to Visit :October to June

 Area declared sanctuary in 1955

 Also known as Thekkady Wildlife Sanctuary

JALDAPARA WILDLIFE
SANCTUARY
 Location : Alipurduar Sub-Division of Jalpaiguri district, 124 km
from Siliguri, West Bengal 

 Coverage area : 114 Sq. Km. 

 Main attraction : Elephant & horned rhinos 

 Best time to visit : October to May. (Particularly March & April,

when new grass is growing).

Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary
 Location :Kumily, Kerala

 Best Time to Visit :October and June

 Formed with the building of a dam in 1895
