PERIODIC

CLEANING
MEANING
 As the name suggests, Periodic Cleaning is different to Daily
Cleaning. This service means that you have a cleaner arranged to
come into your premises on a regular and agreed basis
 The idea is that your premises can be perfectly cleaned and de
cluttered.
 The regularity of the Periodic Cleaning that you organize is
entirely dependant on your needs, and this is something that you
can discuss with your cleaning company to ensure that it works
for you.
BENEFITS
 It is where Periodic Cleaning is going to work best. Maintaining
surface areas and ensuring they are hygienically sanitized
contributes to staff sickness.
 It could be a first impression for clients and customers, as well as
a first impression for those that could become potential
employees.
FREQUENCY OF CLEANING

Daily Cleaning
 These are routing operations carried out on a day-to-
day basis by the staff of the housekeeping department.
 These include the regular servicing of guestrooms,
cleaning of bathrooms and toilets, suction cleaning of
floors and the floor coverings, and so on.
1.WEEKLY CLEANING
 These, as the term implies, are routine tasks carried out on a
weekly basis.
 Example :
1. Monday- Polishing Brassware
2. Tuesday- High dusting
3. Wednesday- Scrubbing of Bathroom Tiles
4. Thursday- Vacuuming under heavy furniture
5. Friday- Scrubbing of balconies/terrace
6. Saturday- Changing paper under liner in drawers
7. Sunday- Cleaning the window Ledges
2.FORTNIGHTLY CLEANING
 A fifteen-day cleaning schedule.

3.DEEP CLEANING
 It refers to the intensive cleaning schedule in which periodic
cleaning tasks are scheduled for monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, or
annual frequency.
 This is done for areas and surfaces which cannot be cleaned on a
daily basis. This kind of cleaning is conducted in close coordination
with the maintenance department.
 Example, carpet shampooing, Rotating and cleaning mattresses,
Ceilings, light fittings, fans, signage boards, laundering of soft
furnishings.
4.SPRING CLEANING
 This is a term used for annual cleaning of guestrooms and public
areas in off-season periods and low occupancy periods.
 This involves a complete overhaul of the rooms by undertaking
few steps as:
1. Removal of carpets from the room for shampooing,
2. Polishing wooden furniture,
3. shampooing upholstery (sofas),
4. Painting on walls,
5. Redecoration,
6. Cleaning air conditioning vents and Airing the room.
