ENOUGH
 Enough shows that something is sufficient.
 Enough usually shows that you are satisfied
with the situation.

Example:
1. These apples are big enough to make a
lolipop
2. Enough is enough
3. She is tall enough to be a model
NOT ENOUGH
 Not Enough shows that something is
insufficient.
 Not Enough usually shows tat you are not
satisfied with the situation

Example:
1. This beef piece is not small enough to eat
2. I just can not get enough money to buy that
cloth

1. After Adjectives:
• She is strong enough to be a winner
• She is not strong enough to be a winner

2. After Adverbs:
• He speaks clearly enough
• He does not speak clearly enough

3. After verbs:
• I sleep enough
• I did not sleep enough

4. Before Nouns:
• We have enough food to eat
• We do not have enough food to eat
5. An adjective + an infinitive
• She is not old enough to vote

6. An adverb + an infinitive
• They studied enough to pass the test

• We do not earn enough to pay the rent

 Too shows that something is more than you
want or need
 Too usually shows that you are not satisfied
with the situation

 Use too + much with uncountable nouns

• Use too + many with countable nouns
 This class has many students.
Too Little
• Use too + little with uncountable nouns
 There’s too little time to finish it.
Too Few
• Use too + few with countable nouns
- The passengers is too few to drive today.
TOO VERSUS VERY
• ‘Very’ emphasis, but ‘too’ shows that
something is more than is necessary.
 This writing is too big.
 This writing is very big.
