certain number of hours determined by their boss. In
media roles like journalists and executives are usually
full-time and have a set time of usually 32-40 hours of
work a week.

A part-time job consists of fewer hours than a full-time
one. There is no set number of hours that determines
whether someone is working full-time or part-time, but
part time usually is less hours. A runner or an intern are
typical part-time jobs in media
Freelance
A freelance job is one in which a person works for
themselves rather than for a corporation. Although
freelancers work for corporations and organisations on
a contract basis, they are ultimately self-employed.
Companies who hire freelancers refer to them as
"contractors," rather than "employees." Freelance work
in media is extremely popular as it consists of things
like photography and videography.
Shift Work

a.m. and 6 p.m. is referred to as shift work. Evening,
night, and early morning shifts, as well as fixed or
rotating schedules, are all examples of shift work. Shift
work is usually connected to freelance work, as things
like night shoots fall under this category.

are paid directly by the employer. Employees who are
hired on a permanent basis do not have a set end date.
Jobs like copywriters and media lecturers and
professors would be considered permanent jobs.

employment, is a type of employment in which the

lecturers is a fairly common job for temporary aswell as
permanent.

management firms to arrange jobs in a way that
increases profitability, efficiency, and quality of service.
Multi-skilling, in its most basic form, is the creation of
jobs that enable people to perform two or more
typically separate job functions. In media multiskilling is
fairly common as most people who work as
photogrophers tend to be videographers too and also
