people to do their jobs and make a living.

 Farming
• Farmers in Jamaica needs the sunshine to
grow crops.
• Jamaica is a tropical country, meaning we have
a warm climate all year round. Most of our
crops are tropical crops and need sunshine to
grow well.
• Animals too need sunshine to thrive well.
 Tourism
• Many tourists come to Jamaica to enjoy our
sunshine.
• They usually come when their countries are
having winter and are very cold.
• Tourists usually come from United States of
America, Canada and England.
• They enjoy our beaches.
 Solar Products
If you look around in your community you will
see some signs of solar products.
Water heater and Solar panels can be seen on
some persons house tops.
These provide hot water and electricity.
There are solar street lights on highway 2000.
Some homes have solar lights on their gates.
