INTRODUCTION

 Vindhya steel limited is the second largest steel manufacture in private sector
in India.
 It has 1700 employees executive cadre.
 Mr. Kalyan Mishra was appointed as operational director.
Q1. Was there any mistake in the
selection process of Mr.Mishra?
 Yes, There was a Mistake in the selection process of Mr. Mishra because he
was selected by reference.
 He use harsh word with employees and he abused employee and supervisor as
well.
 There is a dispute among worker and HR CHIEF of the company.
2.What HR steps have been taken to
avoid the situation?
 Recruitment and selection process had to be done properly.
 Avoiding nepotism concept.
 Selection procedure should have been strict and fair.
 Employee development plan.
Q3.Who benefited from Mr. Mishra
quitting?
 Mr.Kalra was benefited from quitting of Mr.Mishra because he was the HR
chief of the company.
 Including Mr.Kalra other departmental director was benefited by the quitting
of Mr.Mishra.
Q4.Had Col.Kalra discharged his
responsibilities appropriately?
 No, Mr. Kalra did not perform his responsibilities appropriately because
employees are dissatisfied with the HR function of the company performed by
Mr. Kalra.
 The attitude of Mr.Kalra was rude and harsh with the employees.
 He just wanted to be promoted at a higher position.
 He has no worries about the performance of the future of the company.

interest of the company?
 He interfered in the work of other which other didn’t liked it.
 People didn’t like Mr. Mishra behaviour and attitude towards them.

Organisation?
 The managing director leads the company and develops the corporate culture
of the organization.
 The managing director needs to manage everything.
 The role of managing director is to design develop and implement the
strategic plan for the company.
Q7. What was wrong in management of
this company?
 There was mismanagement in the company because No one is performing his
duties and responsibilities properly.
 Everyone was wanted to be promoted to the higher post.
 There was no coordination between them.
 The Managing Director have no direct control on the Organization.
