 About The Event
• Iqra university is organizing an event in conjunction with
World Television Day. The objective is to promote the
recognition of television as a cultural instrument that
focuses on issues such as peace, security, economic and
social development.
• In order to spice up the event, the association has come
up with activities. There will be an activity held by the
Ary digital team, where they will be giving away freebies
and prizes of contests held. Later that day, there will be
a screening of the movie ‘Fat Man’.
 Guest Speakers
• The main highlight of the day is the Q&A session with two
guest speakers, both are both famous journalist of Pakistan.
• First one is Mr. Fahad Husain
– Began career as a journalist at The Daily Muslim newspaper in 1991
– Held senior positions at The Nation and Gulf News Dubai newspapers
– Also served as the anchor of Pakistan’s first independent English talk
show
• And second is Dr. Tariq Banuri
– Began career in the Civil Service of Pakistan
– Posses broad experience in government, academia, civil society and the
international system.
