Access Program on Governance (LINkod kabitenyo)

Free internet access is now available in seven (7) pilot


areas in the province, namely the cities of Bacoor,
Dasmariñas and Imus, and the municipalities of Silang,
General Trias, Rosario and Tanza, including the
Provincial Capitol Compound in Trece Martires City.
Selected public areas, barangay halls, as well as public
schools and universities are also connected to the
provincial network.

SCHOOL TEACHER’S
Gov. Jonvic Remulla fulfills his vow on Cavite
public school teachers as he distributes 2,327
windows tablets to the teachers of the
municipality of Tanza and General Trias recently
at the provincial gymnasium in Trece Martires
City despite heavy rains last July 09, 2015.

It has always been a mission of Gov. Juanito Victor C. Remulla to


improve the standard of living, literacy and to enhance the

education as an avenue of development for a more progressive and
premier province. Giving priorities to students whose families are
incapable of supporting their education, the PSP ultimately aims to
support academically qualified tertiary students to finish their
studies and elevate the economic status of their families
contributing to a better quality of life and improved community.

100% COMPLIANT TO NEWBORN SCREENING LAW RA 9288

NEW SCREENING ACT OF 2004 - a policy of the state to protect


and promote the right to health of the people, including the rights of
the children to survival and full health development as normal
individuals.
 Newborn screening ensures that every baby born be spared from
heritable conditions that lead to mental retardation, serious health
conditions and death if undetected or untreated. The GEAMH as a
facility ensures that all babies born in this hospital are screened and if
positive are located and recalled for confirmatory testing as soon as
possible, referral is done for proper management and treatment.

BEST PERFORMING HOSPITAL HIV CORE TEAM

 GEAMH is the first hospital in CALABARZON to establish and has


functional the HIV AIDS Core Team. The team is the primary group
tasked to provide treatment, care and support services to People Living
with HIV (PLHIV), as well as to implement policies and guidelines on
matters relating to HIV and AIDS in a hospital setting.
 RA 8504 - PHILIPPINE AIDS PREVENTION AND CONTROL ACT
OF 1998 - an act promulgating policies and prescribing measures for the
prevention and control of HIV/AIDS in the Philippines, instituting a
nationwide HIV/AIDS information and educational program, establishing
a comprehensive HIV/AIDS monitoring system, strengthening the
Philippine National Aids Council and for other purposes.

BEST PERFORMANCE IN ADOLESCENT – YOUTH DEVELOPMENT AWARD

 PHO – Cavite received an award for Best Performance in Adolescent


– Youth Development for the successful implementation of programs
and activities in the province, such as:
(a.) Peer Education Training of Cavite National High School;
(b.) Launching of 11 Health Teen Health Kiosk;
(c.) Teen Parents Clinic;
(d.) Cavite Health Caravan; and
(e.) Adolescent Job – Aid Training.

REGIONAL WINNER FOR OUTSTANDING
MAGSASAKA SIYENTISTA FOR REGION 4A
An agricultural "field day" was held joint December, 5,2013
at the coffee farm owned by farmer scientists who
discovered the benefit of science and technology in coffee
production under the leadership of Gov.jovic to educate
farmers on technology science of provincial agricultural for
agriculture, forestry, and natural resources and development
and this is the goal of tagalog agriculture and resources
research and development of Cavite state University.

14th SOUTHERN TAGALOG COOPERATIVE CONGRESS

Through Gov.jonvic's leadership of "Integration of


farmers and fishermen in more prosperous farming in the
community" for the agricultural development of the
province for local farmers and it distributed various types
of vegetable seeds and fertilizer to help farmers and many
participated in it was successful So he was honored as
"regional winner for outstanding farmer scientist for
region IV-A.

event and this in turn was successful and well executed.

CAVITE MSME BUSINESS CONFERENCE 2015 HIGHLIGHTS GREEN INNOVATION

 To sustain the entrepreneurship advocacy in the province of Cavite, the


Provincial Cooperative, Livelihood and Entrepreneurial Development
Office (PCLEDO) in partnership with the Cavite Small and Medium
Enterprise Development Council (CaSMEDC) and the Department of Trade
and Industry (DTI) – Cavite, facilitated the 4th Cavite MSMEs Business
Conference bannering the theme “Human Resource Management: A Tool
for Productivity and Efficiency for MSMEs on 6, 2017 at the Development
Academy of the Philippines (DAP) in Tagaytay City. The program served as
venue to gather dynamic entrepreneurs to discuss and learn about timely
issues concerning enterprise development and build and strengthen their
network, creating a more solid foundation for the local community.

CAVITE RECEIVED THE pemsea icm CODE
 Cavite became an ICM site in 2004. The ICM program initially covered 8 coastal
municipalities and one city spanning its 85 km coastline. ICM Councils and ICM coordinators
have been established and designated, respectively in Cavite’s 9 coastal towns. Since 2004,
local government officials and relevant stakeholders have participated in PEMSEA’s ICM and
specialized training program. The ICM program has provided a framework and process for
Cavite to strengthen coastal governance as well as the implementation of management
programs to address the threats and challenges of uncontrolled development, land conversion,
pollution from industrial, commercial and residential areas, illegal fishing and a growing
population. ICM program activities included the development of long term strategy,
information management, awareness raising and mobilizing stakeholders’ support,
development of coastal use zoning plan to address multiple use conflicts, marine protected
areas management, implementation of oil spill contingency plan and rehabilitation of major
river systems.
