Simple Sentences
Definition:
It contains a subject and a verb and it may also have an object
And modifiers. However, a simple sentence contains only
one independent clause.
Examples
Ali ride his bike to school.
Who is your best friend?
She ate her lunch, took a walk, and went back to work.
They studied CSS rules for many hours.
He organized his resources for examination.
Definition
A compound sentence contains two
independent clauses. The two independent
clauses can be combined with a comma and
coordinating conjunction (for, and, nor, but,
or, yet, so) or a semi colon (At a comma,
stop a little;)
By using a transition:

e.g., I love Karachi ; however, I hate the
traffic.
Complex Sentences
Definition
A complex sentence contains one independent clause and one or
more dependent clauses. A complex sentence will include at least
one subordinating conjunction.
Examples
❑ She went to class even though she was sick.
❑ As Jawad was arriving to work, he realized he forgot his lunch.
❑ While I enjoy classical music, I prefer rock and roll because I play
the drums.
