Moon to Mars:
• Before we go to Mars, we need to bound human exploration.
• Use knowledge from the Moon (as like an trail) to go to Mars
• Which ties into the class group project, Mission to Mars
How and Why:
• Need to test run the system before going to Mars
• All that we build, all that we study, all that we do,
• prepares us to go
How do we get started ?

• Stakeholder
• Needs
• System requirements

“The Earth is the cradle of humanity, but mankind cannot stay

in the cradle forever.”
~ Konstantin Tsiolkovsky
Stakeholders
• Two Main Stakeholders to get to the Moon

• US Government – • The National • Encompasses all of our

funded crew Aeronautics and present efforts to return
Space Administration humans to the Moon
spaceflight is an independent • Goal to land “the first
program agency of the U.S. Woman and the next
Federal Government  man” on the moon by
2024
• Exploring the moon to mars is intertwined
• The moon provides an opportunity to test new tools and
equipment that could be used in Mars
• Living will help prepare for Mars
• Looking at the gateway understanding human behavior to the journey to
Mars
