• E learning:
It is mostly associated with activities involving computers and interactive
networks simultaneously. The computer does not need to be the central
element of the activity to provide learning content. However, computer and
network hold a significant involvement in the learning activity.

• Web-based learning:
It is associated with learning material delivered in web browser, including
when the materials are packaged on CD-ROM or other media, disc.

• Online learning:
it is associated with content readily accessible on a computer. The content
may be on the Web or the internet, or simply installed on CD-ROM or
computer hard disk.
M-learning or mobile learning is "learning across multiple contexts, through
social and content interactions, using personal electronic devices".A form
of distance education, m-learners use mobile device educational technology at
their convenient time.
M-learning technologies include handheld computers, MP3 players,
notebooks, mobile phones and tablets. M-learning focuses on the mobility of
the learner, interacting with portable technologies. Using mobile tools for
creating learning aids and materials becomes an important part of informal
learning.

What is Virtual teaching ?

 Virtual teaching is a learning experience that is enhanced through utilizing

computers or smartphones and/or the internet both outside and inside the
facilities of the educational organization. The instruction most commonly
takes place in an online environment. The teaching activities are carried
out online whereby the teacher and learners are physically separated (in
terms of place, time, or both).
 Virtual learning combines all of the above-mentioned terms. It can
overcome many drawbacks of the physical environment such as time,
facilities, location, etc. Online environments allow teachers to work with
larger numbers of students and optimize their routine tasks. Virtual
learning also brings new pedagogical techniques into the traditional forms
of education and makes learning more personalized and convenient.
Virtual Learning – basic characteristics

 Remote access to an unlimited array of educational services (topics

and tutors) offered worldwide
 Individualized learning process that takes into consideration the
personal level of competence, individual needs, and different
learning styles
 Safe and secure learning environment
