already a common place. With that, he

of the said program, the streets have been filled
with blood and dead bodies almost everyday.

TABLE
Execution and rehabilitation are the responses of
the authorities towards drug addiction. Both of them
help the community in eliminating problems related
to the use of illegal drugs. However, they differ in
terms of implementation and some moral concerns.
Execution is believed to be against human rights since
most victims are not given the chance to defend
themselves and to undergo due process. Meanwhile,
rehabilitation is said to be humane since it gives
people a second chance to live a moral life.

FISHBONE
Poverty has become the root of most problems
in the country. Severe problems are sprouting out
because the root is not actually targeted by most
projects or programs of the government. The only
way to solve the sprouting issues related to
poverty is to improve our economy first. The
government must provide access to quality
education and job opportunities for the poor.

SPIDER WEB
We live in a community where blood sheds everyday
in every street. We are getting used to the violence
that occur around us. It has been our daily activity to
do them or to ignore them. The statistics show that
crime rate has decreased, but this does not include
those who were executed without due process. There
are many reports and statements of witnesses that
clearly prove that these killings are unlawful and
unjust. I firmly believe that this has to stop and we, as
a nation, should stand together against this culture of
violence.

Generally, language has three functions according
to its purpose: informative, expressive, and directive.
Speaking with the purpose of communicating factual
information is called the informative function.
Speaking in order to express feelings and attitudes of
the listener is called the expressive to emotive
function. Finally, speaking in order to make other
people act is called the directive function. Indeed,
language has to be used according to its purpose to
communicate ideas effectively.
