PLAYING BASKETBALL
• Basketball is played by two teams with five
players.
• This game is also called an “invasion game”.
• The objective of the game is to shoot a ball
through a hoop.
• The team with the most points win in the end
wins, but additional time is issued when the
score is tied (overtime).

General Rules
1. BASKET AT THE BUZZER
- A score is counted if the shot was
released before the expired time and the
sound of the buzzer.

2. START OF DRIBBLE
- a dribble starts when a player throws,
taps, or rolls it on the floor and touches it
again before it touches the another player.

3. SUBSTITUTION
- A substitution shall report t the official
scorer at the scorer’s table, and then wait
until the official beckons him in during a
dead ball.

4. TIME-OUTS
Each teams is awarded two thirty-second
time outs and three full time outs. Any
player on the court or the coach may call a
time-out.

5. VIOLATION
- Is an Infraction of the rules. The penalty
may means loss of the ball by the team that
committed the violation.

6. FOUL
- The player responsible for the contact
receives the foul. Foul is a committed
contact to other player, that player is
awarded a foul.

7. FORFIET
- A team loses a game by forfeit.
A. They refuse to play after being told to
do so by the referee.
B. their actions prohibit the game from
being played.
C. the team is unable to field five players
to start the game.

8. INJURY TIME-OUT
- In case of player injury, the sports
officials has the option to stop the game. If
the ball is in play when the injury occurs,
the officials shall wait until the team with
the injury gets possession of the ball to
stop the game.
