RCB
In 1st IPL-team not performing well
In 2nd IPL-team performing better then 1st one
In 3rd IPL-2nd place

Getting no profit from his first 2 IPL season, he has changed his team formation,
motivate the players, chose new leader for his team, invest lots of money on best
cricketer like Kevin Peterson, Cameron White, Dale Styne, Robin Uthappa
among which Kevin Peterson has been paid highest at that time. He took risk on
his team. And he got almost desired outcome by getting 2nd place in IPL season 3.
MARKETING STRATEGY
Vijay Mallya wanted to associate one of his top-selling liquor
brands, either No. 1 McDowell's or Royal Challenge with the team.
The latter was chosen, hence the name. The jersey colors of the team
are red and golden yellow, the same as the Karnataka state flag, and
the logo consists of the RC emblem with "Royal Challengers
Bangalore" in standard format.

POLITICAL CAREER
Mallya entered politics in 2000 and replaced Subramanian
Swamy as the president of the Janata Party, a breakaway faction of
the original Janata Dal party.. He campaigned vigorously through the
media, but his party failed to make any impact and did not win a
single seat.
SUPERSONIC LOSS-MAKING
Mallya has accumulated about Rs. 14,000 crore worth of
debt spread across his liquor and airline businesses
through costly acquisitions of global liquor companies like
Whyte and Mackay and a bleeding balance sheet courtesy
Kingfisher Airlines.

At the core of this battle is Kingfisher Airlines, losing cash

at an alarming rate in the middle of the decade’s biggest
fall in passenger turnout. The debt on the airline’s books is
over Rs. 5,000 crore, much of it guaranteed by United
Breweries Holding Ltd., the group’s holding entity. As the
airline’s monthly losses have crossed Rs. 200 crore, Mallya
has no option but to push for more corporate guarantees
from his other companies.

Losses at the Force India Formula One team owned by

Indian billionaire Vijay Mallya accelerated by £21m to
£33.4m post-tax in 2008, according to recently-filed
accounts.

PERCEPTION ON CSR ACTIVITIES
CONTROVERSIES
• June 16 2006: Liquor baron and Rajya Sabha member

Vijay Mallya slammed Karnataka Chief Minister H D

Kumaraswamy for ''unnecessarily creating a

controversy'' over the multi-crore Bangalore- Mysore.
• Mallya also came under the scanner when he bid for
Mahatma Gandhi plate and bowl in which Gandhiji ate
his last meal before his assassination in 1948,earlier
all INDIAN felt proud about it but later it came to
know all this things Mallya done to grow-up his
wealth and all this cause huge chaos among the
supporter of Mahatma.
Cont.
• Chairman of United Breweries Group and owner of the Royal
Challengers Bangalore IPL team, Vijay Mallya came under the
scanner when IPL 2010 controversies blown out of proportion, He
was allegedly involved with IPL chairman Lalit Modi and backing
Lalit Modi all through-out the game because his step daughter Laila
Mehmood was in the scenic.

• He is famous for two things - beer and beautiful women. He is none

other than the liquor baron Vijay Mallya, the BABE-LICIOUS man
behind the brand Kingfisher. Now, his name has hit the controversy
circuit and the reason for when he found kissing Mukesh Ambani
wife Nita Ambani which has raised few eyebrows.
PERCEPTION
For Most of us Vijay Mallya is good leader and their are lot of
things which we can learn from him, from his bussiness to social
lfie,But it is rightly said that "EVERY COIN HAS TWO SIDE",
Yes on one side he bought back the sword of Tipu Sultan and
Gandhi's bowl back to our country and this shows his patriotism
towards our country.,but on the other side When any company's
shows its advantage and benifit to an employee and society it also
has limitations and loopholes,And same is with Vijay Mallya, when
the Liquor Baron came under the candid camera,There was an
outburst,Because it was revealed that Vijay Mallya himself takes
the Inter-view’s of the Air-Hostess and ask them any type of
questions,The One who bear’s all this and compromise’s herself
gets certified and for other’s the doors are open,Things didnt end
here,he is addicted to two things beer and BEAUTY
Cont.
Well we can learn many good things from the Liquor
Baron, One of them is how to achieve the goals which we
have set in our lives, From his business strategy to social
life, The best that I can say is among all the business men in
INDIA, Being a BABE-LICIOUS man he didn't get carried
away, and make vain in business, VIJAY MALLYA the man
knows how to maintain balance between the social life,
business life and personal life.
