WHAT IS CONDITIONAL SENTENCE
A conditional sentence is a type of sentence that expresses one situation as a condition for the
occurrence of another situation.
Kalimat bersyarat adalah jenis kalimat yang mengungkapkan suatu situasi sebagai syarat
terjadinya situasi lain.

The form of Conditional sentence is : if clause + main clause

If clause = condition kondisi
Main clause = result / consequence hasil konsekuensi

Example : if you study hard, you will pass the exam

jika kamu rajin belajar, kamu akan lulus ujian
TYPE OF CONDITIONAL SENTENCE

Zero conditional
We use the zero conditional to talk about things that are generally true, especially for laws and rules.
zero conditional untuk membicarakan hal-hal yang umumnya benar, terutama untuk hukum dan
aturan.

If I drink too much coffee, I can't sleep at night.

Ice melts if you heat it.
When the sun goes down, it gets dark.

The structure is :
if/when + present simple + present simple.
TYPE OF CONDITIONAL SENTENCE

2. First conditional (type 1)

We use the first conditional when we talk about future situations we believe are real or possible.
Sesuatu yang kita percaya bisa terjadi diwaktu yang akan datang.

The structure is usually: if/when + present simple >> will + verb 1

If it doesn't rain tomorrow, we'll go to the beach. Jika besok tidak hujan, kami akan pergi kepantai
Simple present tense present future
Arsenal will be top of the league if they win. Arsenal akan berada pada posisi puncak liga, jika mereka
menang
When I finish work, I'll call you. Jika aku sudah selesai kerja, aku akan memanggil mu
COMPLETE THE CONDITIONAL SENTENCE (TYPE 1) BY PUTTING THE VERB INTO THE CORRECT
FORM.

Example; if you (study) study for the test, you (pass) will pass it.
if + simple present will + verb 1
