10
Function 1: Auto If Adjustment
What does this function do:
• Adjust If value If Adjustment Flow Chart
automatically by Perform
exposure
maintenance program.
If max–c
If max–c & min-c > 0.5(V)
Advantage:
Check
• No need to check If max.and min. If min–c
waveform. If value

( No oscilloscope ) If max–c & min-c <= 0.5(V)

• Save adjustment time.
Change next
(1Hour  15min.) kV/mA condition

11
Function 2: Automatically Recover
System for Arcing
What does this function do:
• When the X-ray tube has an arcing (Error
include Over mA ), the scan does not stop and
X-ray exposure is restarted automatically.

• This function will be activated during any

scanning condition that last more than 3 sec.
( e.g. Scano scope, Dynamic & Helical
scanning, CT-Fluoroscopy, Sure start )

• Within 1 scan, it can recover up to 3 times.

19
Function5 : XC Error Log
Improvement

What does this function do:

Improve XC error log display to prevent misjudgment
when a Flow SW error occurs.

What is the problem:

Current Systems:
Flow error is recorded at the time of Power ON.

20
Function6: kV Waveform
Improvement
What does this function do:
• Improve overshoot of kV
waveform when kV rises .

Advantage:
• kV feedback is carried out to
stability.

How to adjust kV waveform:

• Only need kV waveform
adjustment when replacing the
XC board or SRU-H generator.
Adjust kV fall waveform
to right angle by VR3 on

SRU notes : Replacement 1/4
• The SRU has to be taken
out to gain access to the
boards inside.
• Remove the mounting
bolts (8x).
• Remove the front plate
like this (cable routing is
preserved).

Read Service Manual chapter 4.8.5

42
SRU notes : Replacement 2/4
• Open the cover (with
Power Supply on top) and
disconnect the signal
cables and Power cables.

43
SRU notes : Replacement 3/4
! For SRU-L: Disconnect the signal (to XC) and the
mA-return cable (coax) at the rear or pull the SRU
out and disconnect from the front side.

inside view

44
SRU notes : Replacement 4/4
• Disconnect the HV-
cable(s).
• Remove the mounting
screws and slide SRU
out.

USE PIN !!

45
SRU notes : HV connectors (SM 4.6.4)

• Take care when

removing the Mold
connectors.

• Move only in a straight

line from / to SRU
to prevent breaking of
connector pin(s).

46
SRU notes : HV connectors (SM 4.6.4)

47
SRU notes : HV connectors (SM 4.6.4)

• CAUTION !!
 The pins of the HV connectors are fragile and can break
easily !!

 Pins can be replaced if necessary.

= set of 3 female and 3 male pins.
= 2x long + 1x short (=Common)
(see next slide)

48
SRU notes : HV connectors (SM 4.6.4)

Long = 15 mm Long = 15 mm
Short = 14.25 mm Short = 14.25 mm

CAUTION
Only the Filament Common on the HV-cable Mold-connector is a short pin !!
This pin is mounted with a spacer and seems to be longer than the others.

Take care to use the correct pins when replacing pins.

49
SRU notes : HV connectors (SM 4.6.4)

• Use a new Welded rubber-ring (BSX71-0662 =2x)

when the Mold connectors are disconnected.

• Clean the ring and the

connectors with pure
alcohol and apply new
grease.

50
SRU notes : HV connectors (SM 4.6.4)

Use a torque wrench !

(10 N.m)

51
Checks and Adjustment (SM 4.7)

• Use the XC-testprogram !! (SM 4.8.4)

– to check kV and mA values (TP15 / TP36)
– to check the individual inverters
– to read the XC errorlog

• kV and mA cannot be adjusted, if not OK …

check for problem.
