    A GOOD CAPTION TO COMPLEMENT THE DESCRITION OF AN IMAGE CAN


    BE WRITTEN IN THE FOLLOWING MANER
    • Do not use article words such as a, an, or the
    • As much as possible use the Present Tenses so that the image can be described
    • Provide the reader with information that is not obtained from just looking at the picture
    • The caption is to complement the photo not a substitute for the photo
    • Writing a caption does not need to start with a name
    • Writing a caption to indicate an individual, you can use the words "from left," NOT "from left to
    right."
    • No need to write clear words like “Above” and “pictured here”
    • Name names in captions only if the name is really important
    • Start writing good captions in English with the following word variations: preposional phrases
    ,Infinitive phrases ,Participal phrases ,Adjectiva phrases ,Questions ,Exclamations
