     While the world enjoy the benefits of ICT in present, the impacts of ICT to
    the environment slowly but surely is being realized.
     Not only do computers and other ICT infrastructures consume significant
    amount of energy, ICT hardware also poses serious threat to the environment
    both during its production and disposal. It is this concern that has inspired the
    Green ICT.
    What is Green ICT

     Green ICT or Green Computing is referred to


    environmentally sustainable computing.
    Goals of green ICT

     Reduction of Co2
     Reduction of waste
     Prevent the environment pollution
     Prevent chemical substances management
     Biodiversity conservation
    Why Green ICT

     These are the reasons why Green Computing is necessary.

     Conserving resources
     Green computing technology will actually translate into a much lower carbon
    dioxide emission.

     Buy environmentally safe Hardware.


     Look for the Energy Star. It means the hardware meets the Environmental
    Protection Agency’s Guidelines for saving energy.
     Put your computer I n standby mode or turn it off when not
    in use to save energy.
     Recycle!. By recycled goods and recycle used papers and
    toner cartridges to minimize waste.
