 I will divide the class into two groups. Group A will be on this
side and Group B on the other side. This envelop consists of
cut pictures. These are your tasks.
 - Connect each piece of cut pictures to form something the
hidden picture.
 - Post your output on a long bond paper and label it correctly.
 Each group will choose a representative to explain the group’s
work/output.
Objective
At the end of the lesson, the student should be able
to:
 identify safety procedure in using hand tools and
equipment.
 differentiate the ways of maintaining hand tools
and equipment.
Maintainance-the work or keeping your tools or
equipment in a proper condition
 Preventive Maintainance
(PM)- is the systematic care
and protection of tools,
equipment and machines in
order to keep them in a safe,
usable condition, limit
downtime and extend
productivity.
 Corrective Maintainance (CM)-
is a type of maintainance used
for equipment after equipment
break down or malfunction and
bringing something back to
working order.
FACTORS THAT CONTRIBUTES TO THE
GROWING INTEREST IN MAINTAINANCE
 Technological
development- This trend
leads to a more mechanized
and automated Technological
development.
 Increasingly expensive
raw materials- Finite raw
materials, in combination
with a growing population
and increasing assumption,
inevitably result in higher
raw material prices
 Reduce delayed activities and eradicate
uncompleted work- Many work
processes depend on an uninterrupted flow
of activities to produce desired result.
SAFETY PROCEDURE IN USING HAND TOOLS
AND EQUIPMENT

Cutting tools such as cutters,  Gripping tools such as pliers

splicing tool and scissors must
always be kept sharp. Dull tools
often cause more injuries and
malfunctions than a sharp one.
must maintain a strong grip.
Handles must be slip-free, jaws
have a strong grip and its
blades well sharpened. To
utilize this tool.
SAFETY PROCEDURE IN USING HAND
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT
Driving tools must always be kept
straight. Wrenches must be free
from any substance that may cause
slippage. The jaws must also have a
strong grip.
 A striking tool’s handle must be
well attached to its head to avoid it
from flying away. To utilize this
tool, a worker must hold it
comfortably and firmly in his hand
before swinging.
  
Again form your group. All you have to do is. In a
long bond paper write down the different factors in
utilizing the tools and how they are going be maintain
to its working order. Each group will pick a
representative to explain your output.
