Vertical Lines –goes up or down
Horizontal Lines- goes to side to side
Diagonal lines- leans to the right or left
Spiral- goes around

What will you do?

Create your self-portrait

1. Place one hand in the middle of the
bondpaper. Mark a dot in the middle finger
and under the wrisk using a pencil.
2. Connect the two
dots using the
shape of your face
.
3. Draw dotted
lines across
the face cutting
equally with
vertical and
horizontal.
4. Draw the eyes on
top of the
horizontal dotted
line, next the
eyebrows,
eyelashes and
pupils of the eyes
.
5. Draw a letter u or
v for the nose in the
middle of your eyes
and chin. Then
draw the nostrils
on both sides of
your nose.
6. Draw the
nose in the
middle of
your nose
and chin.
7.Draw the ears
stating from the
eyebrow line to the
end of the nose. Add
also the hairstyle to
frame your face.
8. Erase the dotted
horizontal and
vertical. Trace the
shape of your face
using crayons. Do
the same with the
other features.

anymore. You will choose a method that is
easier for you to draw a portrait. This will
be done on a bond paper.
