Subject : Advice on how to improve your results
(leave one line)
Dear Simon,
I miss you too. I’m glad that you can adapt yourself well with
your new life in Johor.
Don’t be upset for your results! I think you’ll do well in your
next exams. I will give you some helpful tips to improve your
results. First, you have to / must pay attention in the class.
Ask questions if you don’t understand! Next, do revision
daily. Never burn the midnight oil before exam. Lastly, do
more practices on your weak subjects as practice makes
perfect.

Well, you don’t have to attend online tuition classes
because it doesn’t help much. All you need to do is work
harder on your own.

Hope my advice is useful. Bye!

Your friend,
Peter

Part 3 - Question 3

What are the advantages and disadvantages of online

shopping?
The advantages of online shopping:

● convenience
● better prices
● more variety
● easy price comparisons
The disadvantages of online shopping:

● Shipping problems and delay

● Risk of fraud
● Spend too much time online
● Refunds / returns can be complicated
The Internet has revolutionized the way we shop.
Because of the numerous advantages and benefits, more and
more people these days prefer buying things online over the
conventional method of going into stores.
(leave one line)
One of the advantages of online shopping is its
convenience. You can comfortably shop at midnight while in
your pyjamas and you can do your shopping in minutes.
Besides, cheap deals and better prices are available online. It
is because products come to you directly from manufacturer
or seller without involving middlemen. Moreover, another
advantage is more variety as the choices online are amazing.
You can find anything you want from retailers in other parts of
the state and country.
However, there are also some disadvantages of
shopping online. First, you will encounter shipping problems
and delays. It means you might receive your parcel late or
you have to wait for more than one month to get your
purchase. Second, if you are shopping online, there is a
larger risk of fraud. For example, credit card scams, phishing
and identity theft. Thirdly, returns can be complicated. Sellers
often make the process breezy or extra hard for you to return
their merchandise or get a refund. The whole process might
take longer time than you have expected.
In conclusion, online shopping brings us both advantages
and disadvantages. Although it is a very convenient method
of shopping nowadays, we must control ourselves, so that we
will not overspend or be tricked by some deceitful sellers. Be
careful while shopping online!

My Hero

A hero is a person who is admired for courage, noble

qualities and outstanding achievements. My hero is someone
who means the world to me and that is my father. My father is
my hero, my idol, my model figure, my everything.
My father is my hero because he has provided me
guidance and has always been there for me whenever I need
a shoulder to cry on. I admire him for his determination. My
father was born in a poor family. He had a very tough life
since he was young. However, he did not give up hope and
he studied hard to get a scholarship so that he could
further his studies overseas. After he graduated from
university, he worked hard to run his own business. Today,
he is not only a successful businessman, but he is also a
generous boss.
Another quality that I like about my father is his
helpfulness. He is the most generous person that I have ever
known. He always helps those who are in need as he
involves himself in a lot of charity work to help the
homeless, the poor and the handicapped/disabled. He often
advises me to help others whenever we can and never asks
for reward.
My father is a great businessman. He has accomplished
some outstanding achievements in his business. For
example, he has increased sales by 20 % over six months
in the past five years. Besides, he has successfully
created more job opportunities for younger employees.
Last year, he also completed a marathon for charity and
helped raise funds for the disabled.
To me, my father is my forever hero because he has
moulded me to become a better person. I want to be like him,
a determined, helpful and generous person.
