 A type of problem solving, is the mental


process of searching for a new and novel
creative solution to a problem, a solution
which is novel, original and not obvious.

 If a problem statement is to do its job it must be:
– A single sentence.
– Precise. 
– Understandable to a person with no knowledge of the
problem area.
– Neutral.
– Based on the description of the problem.

1. Record ideas.
2. Suspend judgment.

 Write a problem statement.
 Provide sheet or many piece of paper
 Ask the participants to think creatively to address the
problem
 Ask them to write the solution.

 Display solution paper to the group and discuss about it

Activity

 Form a group of odd number . ie. Say 9 or 11 participants.


 Move a ball to the person next to his right or left side.
 Such a way complete a cycle .Five cycle means a product.
 Ask them to move the ball for a product and note the time.
 Every time, on completion of a product ,measure the time and say
do it with half of its duration .
 Repeat the measuring of time for each group and say do it half of
time
 At last, ask the group to do it with in one second.
