- Executive Summary

Basically snapshot of the report .


ES basically is an essence of entire report where a
management representative in a company can have a
brief overview of the report at a glance.
Reasons:
Lack of time from company point of view
If a student is making multiple reports then he or she
will be able to recollect the details of the report and
thereafter present accordingly ( from
student/employee point of view)

Length of the executive summary

The minimum length of an executive summary should


not be less than 200 words and should not be more
than 400 words.

Contents of an ES

Business name
Business location
What kind of product/s or service/s the business
sells.
Purpose of the study
The concluding paragraph should highlight
important points like projected sales and profits,
unit sales and keys to success.

An ES should preferably have charts like bar charts


showing sales, profits before interest and taxes for
the next three years.

Table of contents

TOC should include all the headings of various


chapters.
It can ideally start with acknowledgement
Executive summary.
Introduction
Information about the industry
Information regarding the company including history
of the company
Research methodology

figures/diagrams/charts
It includes figure number caption and page number
