Framework:
• The framework used in order to conduct the case presentation interview
was the social learning theory, cognitive behavioral theory and person
centered.
• The social learning theory focuses on how individuals can develop
certain thoughts, feelings or acting based on the things they have
been exposed to. Everything that someone has learned has been
seen at some point. This theory could potentially assist with
rewiring the negative learned behaviors into positive ones, which
could potentially be an implication for recovery efforts.
• The Cognitive Behavioral Theory- Helps clients think in a more
positive effective way by dismissing their false beliefs of
themselves and providing the client with the self tools that assist
with effective communication skills by addressing and reducing the
emotions or thoughts that may lead to substance use

• I assumed the client that some sort of support system
• I excepted the client to disengage with me when I addressed her with confronting discussions.
