Scriptural Message

Luke 16:15
“Then He said to them, ‘You were a
noble, pious expression in public,
but God knows your evil hearts. Your
pretense brings you honor from the
people, but it is an abomination in
the sight of God.”
Ven. Al's Message
Finally, hope strengthens joy and
gives patience in difficulty and
tribulation. Hope is the expectation
of the future reward based on the
promise of Christ. Jesus says,
“Whoever endures unto the end
will receive eternal life.”
Ven. Al's Message
So, in our difficulty, we look
beyond the difficulty to the joy
which is on the other side. We look
beyond suffering and death to the
glory which awaits us and we
trust in this promise of Christ. This
fills us with joy, patience and
strength. (Homily, July 7, 1991)
