•  It is the border district of the state with an area of 2,100 sq.
km.

• The 4 main Tourist Attractions of the place are as
follows:-

1. Yangoupokpi Lokchao Wildlife Sanctuary :- Sprawling

over a large area of 185 sq km, Yangoupokpi-Lokchao
Wildlife Sanctuary is reckoned to be one of the nine
Important Bird Areas (IBA) in Manipur. The sanctuary is
also serving as dwelling land of seven forest villages. For
wildlife buffs, this wildlife sanctuary in Manipur boasts a
large variety of wildlife species, both flora and fauna.
 2. Tengnoupal :-  Tengnoupal is a hill station in Manipur which
is engirdled by the imposing mountains and blessed by the
beautiful meadows and valleys. the place was controlled by
various dynasties and countries. In 1942 during World War II, the
place became an essential home of Japanese. Tengnoupal is a
perfect tourist attraction in Manipur to adore the enduring natural
beauty.

3. Eshing Thingbi Lake :- The lake situated in the lap of mother

nature is very beautiful and is known for natural peace.

4. Moreh :- Moreh is a commercial hub of Manipur and is often

touted as India’s Gateway to South-East. It is predicted to
become a vast buisness centre but is currently famous for the
calm beauty of nature.

tribal group has their own distinct culture. The folk
dances of the ethnic tribes captivate the beholders with
their exotic costumes and simple but graceful rhythm.
Some famous dances are Paite dance, Thadou kuki dance
and Tarao War dance.

Eromba which is a preparation of vegetables and potatoes
