Introduction

¬ Thul Mir Rukan: is a Buddhist stupa, located near Pabjo village. Henry Cousin, a British Archaeologist in his book
"Sindhi's Archeology" has mentioned this
¬ Necropolis of Mian Noor Muhammad Kalhoro: Located 15 km east of Daulatpur, there are tombs here from
kalhora period
¬ Aamri is an archaeological site dating back to 3600 BC with the remains of a pre-Harappan fortified town.
Located at 50 minutes’ drive east of Nawabshah
¬ Chanhu Jo Daro archaeological site located in village Jamal Keerio, Taluka Sakrand
¬ Dalail Dero Fort is located between Sakrand and Nawabshah.

5. Forests:
¬ Pai Forest is located about 5 km away from Sakrand Town. This Forest is part of Indus ecoregion and is declared
a protected area by the Sindh Wildlife Department. Important wildlife of the area includes hog deer, partridges,
Asiatic jackals, jungle cat, porcupine, wild boar, snakes, etc.
6. Agriculture:
¬ sugarcane, mango and banana production

7. Demographics:
¬ 96.3% of the population are Muslim, and 2.77% – Hindu.
¬ sindhi is the language of 79% of the population while Urdu was the first language of 8.7%, Punjabi – 7.9%

¬ Haji Mehar Ali Khoja was a teacher & an educationist; Saved as Head Master of school from 1972-78
¬ Chairman of the Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education, Hyderabad.
