ligaments, and tendons, and keeps your nerves
and blood vessels healthy. People who make it a
habit to maintain proper posture are less likely to
suffer from back and neck pain.

Good posture might help you stay stress-free.

• You will notice that tension will not destroy your day if
you maintain appropriate posture at work.

• Maintaining good posture aids memory. When you sit up


straight, you can concentrate better. Your memory will also
improve, allowing you to remember more things and events.

• Maintaining a decent posture improves your overall

being conscious of our posture and making simple
modifications to improve posture and the health with minimal
effort also it help us to improve our overall health and well
being.

What can affect my posture?
• Poor posture can affect our posture it is not just about physical
factors but emotional factors as well because stress cause
certain muscles in our body to contract or tighten. When it
happens, it will be difficult to a muscles to support the spine
and maintain a vertical position.
• Poor setup of the workstation (uncomfortable chair, too high
monitor, etc.)
• Slouching too often while working.
• Sitting for too long, and not taking breaks to stand or walk.
• Doing habits such as crossing the legs and ankles • Not moving
around which causes restriction of blood and nutrients going to
the spinal discs.
What are the causes of poor
posture?
To improve our posture we must do
the following:
• Being mindful to our posture throughout
the day, particularly when sitting or
watching TV.
• Engaging in regular physical activity
• Maintaining a healthy weight

• Take a look at yourself and your existing
posture.
• Always make an effort to sit properly.
• Improve your posture by doing some
exercises.
• Use ergonomic furniture and equipment
whenever possible.
