VALUES EDUCATION
 Values are basic fundamental beliefs that guide or
motivate attitudes or actions.

 Values describe the personal qualities we choose


to embody to guide our actions.
 The meaning of values education is to teach universal
values like moral values, patience, and honesty to the
students.
 Values education is an essential element of whole –
person education which aims at fostering students
positive values and attitudes.

• Education in the life of a person makes the future better.
• Education act as a backbone in society.
• Education changes the perspective of a person
• Education develops the moral values and patience
• Education helps in understanding things and more
precisely
IMPORTANCE OF VALUES EDUCATION IN
SCHOOLS
Character development – the value education helps
the students to develop the character. This improves
the inner personality of the student. The mental level
also improves by this.
 Personality development – the value education helps the student to
develop the inner and external personality of the student . The physical,
social and mental personality will emerge of the student.

 Citizenship education – this includes the social and behavioral aspects of


the students and behavioral aspects of the students towards citizenship.
The ethical values develop towards citizenship of the student.
PURPOSE OF VALUES EDUCATION
 To develop the child’s personality in all possible aspects.
 To develop good moral values in the children
 To develop thinking in a better aspects and democratic way of living
 To develop good citizenship and standard of living and behavior of
children
 To develop tolerance and make a kind person to the children

 What is considered acceptable and desirable behaviors, above and beyond
compliance with laws and regulations.

SOCIAL VALUES
 Define as the standards, which individual and social groups employ to
define personal goals and essentially shape the nature and form a social
order in a collective i.e what is acceptable and not acceptable, what ought
or not to be, what is desirable and non-desirable.

SUBJECT VALUES
 Is that each individual has their own preferences for objects or actions.

1. POWER OF CREATIVITY
- is one of the most significant things to consider when talking about education. Having a
creative mindset gives students to see world differently, to be open enough to ask question,
explore new things and most importantly to have an actual impact in the real world, changing
people perception and actions.

2. POWER OF INTELLECTUAL COMMUNICATION


- new technologies allow us to communicate with everyone. It brings a lot of challenges
and also brings a lot of opportunities.

3. POWER OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP
- it is very significant to teach students entrepreneurial skills. They bring prosperity and
purposefulness, change lives and livelihoods on a local and global level. Entrepreneurship can
be a way to remove the poverty for many people around the world.
