11. Hired as advisor to king / Pharoah of Egypt for his trustworthiness
knowledge and Trustworthiness 12. All thought Hebrew raised in the house of Pharoah
12. All though he was Hebrew , raised in in a house of Pharoah’s 13. Prophet Musa strengthened by his brother Haroon
assistant (pbuh) before revealing their identity to Pharoah
13. Prophet Yusuf strengthened by Br Bin Yameen
( Benjamin) Prior to revealing his identity to his brothers
• All three dreams Wine Pressing/Bread/ Corn ( food supply) related to Rizq FOOD, even the promise pf Yusuf AS was to interpret dreams prior to food being served

• One of prison companions was to be elevated to a high position in regards to closeness and trustworthiness to the King ( pouring his drink)

• The king’s Cup bearer was released from jail and later Yusuf (Pbuh) ordered the cup to be placed in his own brother’s bag.

• Inspite of being in complete power , Yusuf (Pbuh) he does not force /compel /rebuke/punish his brothers his goal is to bring about change not punish or avenge.

• He returns Trade Money into their bags without telling them (later in the story without telling them puts the king’s cup..TAQQIYA??...Abrahim pbh broke idols and then

questioned who did it?, Yusuf pbuh placed the cup and questioned who stole it?) and provides Grain to Brethren so that on their return, Brethren would be pleasantly

surprised Yaqub (pbuh) would know the ruler is generous and send forth BinYameen

• Yaqub pbuh is showing his practice of taqwa and relinquishes the fruit of action as he did in the start of the story , “ relate not the story to your brothers “ and towards the

end “ sons, do not enter from one gate….” take ur precautions, do ur part.

• Satan causes the Cup Bearer to forget ( Thoughts of human can be altered http://www.dlshq.org/download/thought_power.htm#_VPID_5), Allah intends a thing an “Kun faya

Kun!” the mention of Yusuf pbuh to the king this works in favor as the first impression is the most important, so had he being mentioned to the king earlier / before the king

had such a significant dream, the true value of the prophets gift would not have been highlighted, but when several prominent chiefs gave up that’s when the prophet

stepped in and was instantly released and launched into high ranks ( like a blockbuster release !) . Had his talent surfaced via interpreting dreams of the two companions the

impact on his repurtation may not have been so significant as it did receive years laters when he rose to fame for interpreting the Kin’gs dream correctly where many of the

chiefs failed.

• Satan is aware of the benefit the cup bearer may bring and hence causes forgetfulness. Similar to Mosa’s pbuh assistant who forgot to mention the fish escaping into the

water during their travel to seek Al khidr

• Other thoughts

• Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi rajiun compared to Upanishad

• Uddalaka observes that eventually, at the end, everything in existence is absorbed back into That from which everything emerged. It is the same In the case of an

individual too.  At his death, man reverses in successive steps towards that being from which he originated. The speech merges into mind, the mind into prana, the prana

into heat and the heat, the last to depart, into the Pure Being
