METRO STATION LIGHTING
ENERGY SAVING LIGHTS
The metro system needs to operate for 17 -24 hours continuously. This would bring a lot of stress to the lighting system
in the underground areas. The expenditure on electricity would be huge as a result. Thus, it is vital install energy-saving
lighting fixtures for the stations.

DURABILITY
Since the lighting system of metro subway station has to operate for insanely long hours, the lighting fixtures with long
life span saves maintenance cost.

THE LIGHTING FOR SUBWAY STATION SHOULD NOT EMIT MUCH HEAT
The light source emitting much heat will increase the burden of the air-conditioning system. Since there are thousand of
lighting fixtures inside the station and tunnel, the effect of the wasted heat will be significant. To suppress the heat, it
will be a need to use much energy in air conditioning.

THE LIGHTS SHOULD BE BRIGHT TO MAKE SURE THE SIGNAGE IS

CLEARLY VISIBLE
Adequate brightness is essential for passengers to see the signage clearly and help navigate themselves.
