MENTORSHIP
 Mentorship is the influence, guidance, or direction given
by a mentor. Mentor is someone who teaches or gives
help and advice to a less experienced and often younger
person. In an organizational setting, a mentor influences
the personal and professional growth of a mentee.
MENTOR-LEADERSHIP
   Mentor leadership is the creation of a personal and
professional development relationship between a
leader, or mentor, and a person in the organization
that demonstrates leadership potential.  Sometimes
the recipient of the mentoring activities is referred to
as a protégé, apprentice, or mentee.  Mentoring is
the act of sharing relevant insight and wisdom that
accelerates the mentee’s personal and professional
development.
EFFECTIVE MENTORING
   The mentor/mentee relationship is mutually
satisfying. The mentor gets the satisfaction of
watching someone grow who values his or her
insights. The mentee gains a feeling of being
valued, receiving beneficial direction and attention
from someone who he or she respects and
admires.
 An effective mentor gives wise counsel, and the
mentee feels comfortable speaking on issues that
may be sensitive. Once this trust is developed, the
mentor can give advice or assist with tough
recommendations

 A good leader become happy to see others
succeed .
Good Leader and a Mentor
 A good mentor possesses the following
qualities: Willingness to share skills, knowledge,
and expertise. A good mentor is willing to teach
what he/she knows and accept the mentee where
they currently are in their professional development.
Good mentors can remember what it was like just
starting out in the field.

Process of Mentorship
 Successful mentoring relationships go through
four phases: preparation, negotiating, enabling
growth, and closure. These sequential phases
build on each other and vary in length. In each
phase, there are specific steps and strategies that
lead to mentoring excellence
3 A’s of Mentorships
 In summary, the 3 A's of mentorship are
fundamental to any form of mentorship. Your
mentor should be available, analytical, and an
active listener. Without these fundamentals, your
mentor won't be able to understand your needs or
help in solving your problems

as A leader and Mentor
 A good leader is a good mentor ‘Leaders train
leaders’ Best Example of good leader and
mentor is Prophet Muhammad(PBUH). He was a
great leader after that there were great leaders
after him ,Hazrat Ali , Hazrat Umer . Prophet
Muhammad was a great leader and great mentor

 Bill gates one of the richest man and successful
business man he also have a great mentor , after
dropping out from Harvard warren encourage
him and motivated him and also invested in
Microsoft and it was a great hit.

 Warren Edward Buffett is an American business
magnate, investor, and philanthropist. He is
currently the chairman and CEO of Berkshire
Hathaway.
Mentor and mentee
 One of the most famous example of mentor and
mentee in past is in 13th century Shams tabriz and
Rumi , after mentorship by Shams rumi became
the most famous Persian poet ,islamic scholar
and Sufi Mystic but when there is name of Rumi
there will be always Shams The mentor
