HRD Requirements
• Project to be a minimum of 10 pages; 15 maximum pages. This does not include the Title Page nor
the Reference Page.
• APA Format to be utilized
• A minimum of 3 primary references must be utilized.
• You must use O*NET to provide Job Descriptions; Duties; Education required, etc. YOU MUST
PROVIDE IN-DEPTH INFORMATION – DO NOT COPY AND PAST O*NET INFORMATION.
• You may single-space this word.doc This will be an individual paper, not a power point.
• Project is due: November 16, 2021
• 200 maximum points possible if all criteria is met.

• Creating better workplaces start with a commitment to excellence. Your role at the
intersection of people and business presents unique challenges and opportunities, especially
at the current time due to COVID-19. Pressing issues facing society at large are showing up
at work such as Social Injustice and inequality among populations in organizations.
• These tracks delve deep into real workplace issues and serve to help you navigate sensitive
and sometimes polarizing issues effectively. Technology and innovations continue to
change the landscape at work. You must be ready for “what’s next” – you must use new,
bold ideas to transform how we think about work to pragmatic advice on how to solve
common Human Resource challenges.
• This Project covers CSLO 1, CLSO 2, CSLO 3, CSLO 4, CSLO 5, CSLO 6, CSLO 7

• 1. Create a name for your organization and your Mission Statement. BE AS
CREATIVE AS YOU WISH TO BE!!!!!
• 2. Develop a policy and/or policies to address the following issues:
• A. BUSINESS ACUMEN & METRICS (uses data to drive business decisions. Develop
policies that demonstrate the value of your initiative(s) in quantifiable terms.
• B. COMMUNICATION (ability to effectively exchange information with stakeholders as
this is a KEY COMPETENCY for HR professionals). Develop policy/policies focusing on
such topics as sound communication strategy and conflict management. Communication
strategies must be concise and informative as well as positive and respectful.

• C. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS (you must keep pace with the
demands of the modern workforce as they are evolving into many
different areas. Develop policy/policies that produce new programs used
in healthcare such as Mindfulness training, installing gyms on-site, child
care, etc. and how they will be utilized in organizations. Such topics are
necessary in order to keep your organization’s most valuable resource,
your employees. Develop new benefits for your organization as they
relate to compensation and benefits.

• D. COMPLIANCE (protect your company from liability and minimize legal risk by
staying current with the latest changes in workplace laws and regulations. Develop
policy/policies that address the latest changes in workplace laws and regulations from
Federal legislative compliance to investigation documentation, to updates on harassment
legislation and legal issues specific to New Jersey.
• E. GLOBAL HR
• Develop policy/policies that address how your organization operates in a global context as this is
essential for a successful HR strategy. From managing diverse virtual teams, to communicating
across the world, to recruiting and cultivating talent. You must understand how to leverage the
strengths and overcome the challenges of an international workforce.

• F. LEADERSHIP
• Explain how you will motivate your team; and, how you will develop as a
Leader.
• G. TALENT (competition is fierce. This is due to an aging population; a
growing skills gap; and, a competitive job market. Develop policy/policies
to find and keep the right talent as these are critical HR practices that must
be creative as well as to maintain, to engage, satisfy, be an inclusive
workforce as well as maintain a positive organizational culture.

• H. TECHNOLOGY (your organization must anticipate and manage
organizational change. Technology is at the core of many of these shifts
and transformations. Develop a policy/policies that will explain what and
how new technologies are impacting your organization; what role artificial
intelligence will play in your HR processes; how both globalization and
remote and mobile job opportunities are affecting the world of work as it
relates to your organization.
