What is Cloud
Computing?
• The use of Internet for the
tasks you perform on your
computer for Storage, Retrieval
and Access.
• The Cloud represents the
Internet.

On-Demand Self-
Service.

• On-Demand Self-Service Cloud

computing provides resources on
demand, i.e. when the consumer
wants it. This is made possible by
self-service and automation. Self-
service means that the consumer
performs all the actions needed to
acquire the service herself, instead of
going through an IT department
Broad Network
Access.

• Computing Services are delivered over

standard networks and heterogeneous
devices.
Rapid Elasticity

• Rapid elasticity is a cloud computing

term for scalable provisioning, or the
ability to provide scalable services

• IT resources are able to scale in and out

quickly and on as needed basis.
Resource Pooling

• Resource pooling is an IT term used in

cloud computing environments to
describe a situation in which providers
serve multiple clients, customers or
"tenants" with provisional and scalable
services. These services can be adjusted
to suit each client's needs without any
changes being apparent to the client or
end user.
Measured Service

• services where the cloud provider

measures or monitors the provision of
services for various reasons, including
billing, effective use of resources, or
overall predictive planning.
Cloud
Services
• Services are offered ,accessible through
clients using clouds.

• There are Three types cloud services:

1)Software as a Service.

2)Platform as a Service.

3)Infrastructure as a Service.
Software as a
Service

• Software as a service (SaaS) is a

software licensing and delivery model in
which software is licensed on a
subscription basis and is centrally
hosted. SaaS is also known as "on-
demand software" and Web-based/Web-
hosted software
Platform as a
Service.

• Platform as a Service (PaaS) provides a

runtime environment. It allows
programmers to easily create, test, run,
and deploy web applications. You can
purchase these applications from a cloud
service provider on a pay-as-per use
basis and access them using the Internet
connection.
Infrastructure • Infrastructure as a service (IaaS) is a type of cloud

as a Service.
computing service that offers essential compute, storage and
networking resources on demand, on a pay-as-you-go basis.
