Project management is the process of leading the work of a team to achieve all project goals within
the given constraints. This information is usually described in project documentation, created at the
beginning of the development process.

IT project management is the process of planning, organizing and delineating responsibility for the
completion of an organizations' specific information technology (IT) goals.

IT project management includes overseeing projects for software development, hardware


installations, network upgrades, cloud computing and virtualization rollouts, business analytics and
data management projects and implementing IT services.
