The Team
• Students of Ramniwas Bajaj English High School and
Berlage Lyceum enthusiastically worked together and
discussed on the topic – “SAVING FOOD”
• Both the schools interacted through Zoom Video
Common Conference Call and Whatsapp group so that the
students could get to know each other well and get
Goal an insight into the topic.
• Both the countries understood the importance of this
topic as food waste is something that can be avoided
or atleast, controlled and hence can help in making
the earth a better place.
• The students discussed methods to avoid food waste,
like – cooking as per the required quantities, reheating
the leftovers, making a new dish out of the leftovers, etc
• Students also felt the need of composting food waste at

another step towards a healthier planet.
• Programs to inculcate “SAVING FOOD” habits were
discussed - such as Awareness Drives, School Activities,
etc.
• As “SAVING FOOD” is a global concern, not much
differences were observed in the research conducted by
both the schools.
• Both the schools believed in the fact that these food
habits should be inculcated at school level itself, as
Differences students can bring about a change as future citizens.
• Indians too believe in saving food and at the same time
feeding the leftover to the needy ones.
• There are NGO’s volunteering in India to facilitate the
leftover food to the poor section of our society.
• Students had a wonderful time while interacting with the
other group via chats and video conferencing. Through
interviews, they understood a lot about different methods
across various sections of our society to handle and save
Group food.
Reflection • This project provided a great platform for the students to
learn about the research methodology.
• They realized that the youth has got all the technological
benefits to spread awareness to save food globally.
• Students got a chance to come up with more ways
of saving food, starting from their home and school.
• They also had their Eumind Project linked to the
Group SDG Goal – Sustainable Production and
Reflection Consumption. The students conducted a school
activity for the same.
• They participated actively and looked upon the topic
regularly.
• The students of Ramniwas Bajaj English High School attended
Video Conference with students of Berlage Lyceum of
Netherlands on 20th January, 2022. They have learnt a lot
from this video conference. It was indeed a great experience.
• Both the countries aimed for taking this initiative seriously
and help to create awareness and feed the needy ones by
associating with restaurants.

Conclusion • While working towards the topic, students also learnt the
values of team work, management skills, documentation.
• They also had the opportunity to interact with different
people across different sections of the Society, thus knowing
how small things can make a big difference.
• It was a very fruitful and enriching experience for the
students of RBHS and Berlage Lyceum. Eumind has definitely
etched a very positive impact on them!!!
