ABSTRACT
Restaurant Management System is a system used to manage restaurant business.
The business in restaurants are now growing constantly. At the same time, the need
for managing its operation and tasks arises. The best way to optimize these
activities is growing the business online as well. Hence the project is developed
proficiently to help restaurant owners automate their business operations. The
services provided are food ordering and reservation of table by the customer
through online; customer information, waiter and menu information management
by the administrator and generation of bill. The website has been made in a user
friendly interface, so that customer can add and delete the food items easily. The
menu card consists of various food varieties available in the restaurant. Through the
place order menu, the customer can simply select and order the food. The
messaging module tells the supplier to supply the particular food. The billing system
prepares the bill according to the delivered food. This system entirely reduces the
unnecessary time. Every order is associated with an individual seat at the table, and
orders are built one customer at a time, just like on paper but with greater accuracy.

INTRODUCTION
Online Restaurant management system is the system for manage the
restaurant business. After successful login the customer can access the menu
page with the items listed according to the desired time. The main point of
developing this system is to help restaurant administrator manage the
restaurant business and help customer for online ordering .In proposed
system user can search for a menu according to his choice i.e. according to
price range and category of food and later he can order a meal.

So, online restaurant management system will develop to help the restaurant
administrator to manage restaurant management and for customer make
their online ordering. At Management side, initially the staff member has to
login, and according to his designation the privileges are set. If the staff
member is a cook, then he is allowed to edit only the order items status,
indicating which menu items he has prepared.
MODULE
ADMINISTRATOR : Administrator or manager is the person who will manage
the entire system . He is allowed to reassign the cook according to his priority, he
can edit the menu information such as its price, items available currently, etc.
This type of user will also do maintenance and control the application of this
system. Adminstrator takes the responsibility to register new customer and
register new menu into database .

CUSTOMER : This user will register to be a member to use the online system
of this online restaurant management system. This system is a takeaway ordering.
In this ordering, customer can view menu and order food. During login, the
customer has to enter the time of delivery, and the menu items will appear
accordingly. As availability of items differ from time to time. Customers can
search menu according to price range and the category as well.
