People perceive different technologies differently depending on their
understanding and overview of it. However, this technologies might be harmful
directly and indirectly to the end users, and this may result in sociological
problems. Some of the sociological effects that are caused by the wireless
electricity are consumerism, social disconnection, eliminating electrical power
companies and improper use of the technology. In addition to this, other effects
include illnesses related to the electromagnetic fields, equalization of the
majority of humans and forced adjustment to the new technology.
Wireless electricity relies on the basic principle of magnetic coupling. This results in
the creation of very strong magnetic fields around and between the transmitter and the
receiver. As this magnetic field lines pass through air or any other material between
them, they tend to induce an electric current when there is a conductor. This could be
disastrous in the event there is ionization of the air that could result in health
complications.
Further, the high-frequency current that the power is transmitted in could have
effects on people are particularly sensitive. The changing magnetic fields can cause
interference between existing magnetic field or electrical field and because of their
strength, ionization of the air can occur. This in turn would end up changing the air into
a superconductor resulting to an inferno that can cause disasters. This effect is of great
significance and the research that is done has been to prevent such cases from
happening.
 As the level and degree of technology advances, it has been shown that the
connection between people keeps on getting lost. Reasons for the drifting of people
because of technology, as many people never talk with people who are around them
and instead of this, they opt to communicate with people over the phones. This
creates a drift as people are unable to sit and share problems that they have.

With wireless electricity, the effect will be magnified in a significant measure.

People would be spending very few minutes in social places where they used to get
common resources like electrical services and fuel services, and the effect of this
becomes disconnection. Therefore, as much as the wireless technology will lead to
considerable growth and making life enjoyable, if not controlled well, it will break
families.
Electrical power companies enjoy the monopoly in the market making them come up
with very exorbitant energy charges. Additionally, the fact that they know there is no
other decision people can say against them makes them more powerful. With the
wireless technology, the role of the electrical power in shaping the country would be
reduced because of the slashed effectiveness.
Wireless electricity would make many electrical power firms adjust their charges for
electricity due to the cheapness of it. This would then create a condition where
companies are forced to reduce the number of workers through retrenchments and in
the long run, the companies may end up shutting down. Therefore, streamlining of the
electrical power transmission companies need to be done so that even in the event of
the wireless electricity, they still exist to do business.
Basing on the evidence that has been highlighted, it is clear that wireless technology
has great advantages. However, the effects of this technology that include the harmful
electromagnetic fields, broken relationships, forced adjustment to change in
technology and the improper use of technology do not create more harm compared to
the advantages of wireless electricity. More research should, therefore, be done to
ensure this dream becomes a full reality.
