KEYS OF A

BIOCLIMATIC
HOUSE
 Our project seeks to follow the precepts of
bioclimatic architecture. We reduce and
optimize the amount of energy needed to
develop the necessary activities.
 With a more efficient use of resources, we
seek to achieve a more environmentally
eco-friendly activity.
STUDY OF  The site is located in Santiago de Queretaro, therefore, the southeast orientation allows
CLIMATE you to make the most of solar energy in winter and the application of cantilevers allows

CONTROL you to obtain shade in summer.

LOCATION
CONSTRUCTION
CLIMATOLOGY
Well-being largely depends on the thermal comfort they experience during
different times of the day.
Our project focuses on the analysis of two materials:

SILLAR (REGION MATERIAL)

   Measures in cm: 45 long x 25 high x 20 wide

 Weight according to color: 18kg to 35kg

    It is extracted from the earth

   Natural colors

 The cost ranges from $ 12 to $ 31 a piece

   Thermal, noise insulator

 Cost savings construction finishes up to 80%

CONSTRUCTION
CLIMATOLOGY

 LAMINATED CHANNEL (REGION MATERIAL)

    Standard measurements: 30X30X2 cm, 40X40X2 cm and 60X40X2 cm.

 General characteristics: Laminated quarry or natural stone, smooth finish

   Recommended for: Wall and pedestrian crossing (standard thickness 2 cm)

From 3 cm thick onwards it is already used for parking (depending on the
number of cars circulating in the area)
CLIMATE
CONTROL
BY
CONSTRUCT
IVE MEANS
 To achieve a comfortable climate
inside the buildings, it is
necessary to strike a balance
between energy losses and energy
contributions.
TROMBE WALL.

 This alternative proposes to enhance the solar energy

that a wall receives, convert it into a simple heating
system.
 Its main component is a wall oriented towards the
most favorable position of the sun throughout the day
built with materials that allow it to absorb heat such
as thermal mass, such as concrete, stone or adobe.
THERMAL
ISOLATION

 Thick walls retard temperature variations, because of

its thermal inertia. A good thermal insulation
prevents, in the winter, the loss of heat by its
protection with the outside, and in summer the
entrance of heat.
VEGETATIO
N
 Outdoor plants act as a thermal
control element: in summer they
act as a barrier to lateral solar
radiation and cool and oxygenate
the environment.
SUCULENT PLANTS
 It is one of the plants that best adapts to the climate of Queretaro. They are so
called to all those who have thickened leaves, roots and stems to store water.

GERANIUM
 They are evergreen so they perfectly withstand hot climates and can flourish
throughout the year.

CYPRESS
  It is one of the most resistant trees to different climates and weather phenomena.
It supports frost, drought, wind, pollution and poor maintenance.
ORCHARD
 We will apply an orchard with an impermeable membrane, this includes other layers that serve for
drainage and irrigation and as a barrier to the roots, allows to plant certain vegetables for
consumption.

 BENEFITS:
 1. We save money on the budget in vegetables
 2. We have full control over treatments
Food consumption will be carried out with products that are not harmful, thus reducing the ecological
footprint or damage to the environment.
3. It allows us to recycle our food waste
We can use part of the food waste, that are organic, to feed a composting tank where we mix them with
earth that we are stirring and oxygenating to allow their degradation.

SOLAR
CELLS
 Solar cells will be used, because
they convert solar energy into
electricity.
 The amount of energy delivered by
a photovoltaic device is determined
by:
-The type and area of the material
-The intensity of sunlight
-The wavelength of sunlight
 An important fact:
 Mexico is one of the five countries on the
planet with the greatest potential for solar
radiation, which makes it an ideal place to
invest in this kind of technology.
GREEN ROOF
 The type of vegetation suitable for
this type of roof is that which
comes from dry or semi-dry
climates, such as cacteaces, grass
and succulents, such as the
climate that occurs in the area of
Queretaro, is important to adapt
the vegetation of our green roof to
the climate of the region.
NATURAL
VENTILATIO
N AND
COOLING IN
SUMMER
 Dominant winds will be used for space
ventilation, in the same way the
placement of centralized evaporative air
conditioners is proposed for artificial
type refrigeration.
 Evaporative air conditioning generates
a light stream of fresh air that absorbs
latent heat naturally, causing the
temperature of your home to drop
steadily and progressively.

ROOF VENTS

 A roof respirator system will be used, it

will cause the air to circulate, entering
through the bottom of any cantilever
element and through the entire area
through a duct until it reaches the attic
and exits through the ceiling respirator.
In this way it renews the air and
maintains an adequate temperature
AIR FLOWS
THROUGH
WINDOWS
 We will apply double glazing on
windows and aluminum closures with
thermal break that guarantee optimum
thermal insulation.
 Vectorized aluminum windows will
be applied that have added ventilation
with mobile glass fins, which allows
to direct the air flow.
 The blades will direct the air that goes
up when it is cold and down when it
is hot.
