Introduction:
This will be the last lesson where in shall review
content topics regarding musical elements. The last
two elements discussed here are forms and dynamics.
This lesson aims to equip the teacher with necessary
content knowledge pertaining to these two musical
elements.

1. Form- is the general of musical work. It also refers to the structure


a musical composition, which helps listeners realize the big picture.

2. Phrase- Just like in grammar and language, music also has a phra-
ses. A phrases is a musical unit made up of group of notes that
Contains a definite idea. Usually, it takes more than one phrase to
complete a melody.
Different types of musical phrases

a. Antecedent- this is a phrase that is left hanging or


Unsolved, like a question.
b. Consequent- this is the phrase that is usually follow
An antecedent phrase which complete and resolve it .
It gives an answer to a hanging question when list-
ening to it
AUXILIARY SECTION WITH A MUSICAL
COMPOSITION

a. Introduction- this passage in the beginning of a mu-


sical work, opening section.
b. Coda- literally means the " tailpiece" this is a section
that gives closure to a musical work, it's materials is
sometimes unrelated to the theme or phrase used in
the piece.
