CHROMOSOMAL DIFFERENCE
- Women has a pair of both X chromosomes
- Men has a pair of an X and a Y chromosomes
XY Chromosomes
- Male the genetic code that participates in
determining and development of sex.

Reproductive Organ HORMONES

MALE REPRODUCTIVE ORGAN

Prepuce – foreskin covering the head of the penis,

removed during circumcision.
Penis – Consists of the root, shaft, and head.
Corona – Rim of glands where it arises from the
shaft.
Frenulum- thin strip of skin that connects the
glands to the shaft. (visible underside of the penis)
Scrotum- sac that encloses the two-compartment
housing testicles.
Urethral Opening – The end of the tube that
connects from the bladder to the head of the penis,
which is used for excreting urine during urination
and semen from ejaculation.
Perinium – area of the skin that separates the
genitalia from the anus.
Erectile Tissue – sensitive tissues that hardens
when stimulated thus erecting the penis
Testis – Ovular shaped organ that produces
androgen, testosterone, which are needed for
body development, and sperm cell, for
reproduction.
Seminal Vesicle – Gland that produces alkaline
fluid, which provides nutrients and transport of
sperm. (Composes 70% semen)
Vas deferens – long muscular tube that allows
the sperm to travel from testis to the urethra for
ejaculation.
Ejaculatory Ducts – passageway which
connects the vas deferens to the urethra.
Prostate Glands – produces alkaline secretion
which coats and protects sperm from the acidic
fluids of the vagina.
Urethra – tube that carries the sperm and semen
outside of the penis.
MALE HORMONES

Testosterone – a produce of the testis and adrenal

gland that supports the development of a boy in
adolescence stage which develops sperm and
secondary characteristics.
Male secondary characteristics :

• Elongation of vocal cords (lower tone of

voice)

• Broader shoulders

• Deeper chest cavity
