We have our own stories to share about
committing sins and mistakes. Young and
old commit sins and mistakes, not only
once or twice.
What is important is that we learn form
our sins and mistakes and we ask for
forgiveness. If sinned against other
people, we have to do something to
restore our relationship with others as well
as to God.

God created man in His own image. He created
man & woman. God blessed them and told them
to be fruitful & multiply and fill the earth. God
made man in charge of the fish, the birds and
every living thing on the earth.

God placed man in the garden of Eden and told him to

take care of it. He told man he could eat from every
tree except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
If he ate of that tree he would surely die.
The serpent asked
Eve if God had told
them not to eat of
any fruit. Eve told
him what God had
said. The Serpent
told her that they
wouldn’t die but
that instead they
would become as
wise as God!
So Eve ate some of the fruit of the tree of
knowledge of Good and Evil and then she gave
it to Adam and he ate it too.
Then they both knew that they
were naked and they covered
themselves with fig leaves. One
day they heard God in the garden
and they hid. God called to them.
God asked Adam if he had eaten of
the tree. Adam said that Eve gave
him the fruit. Then Eve said that
the serpent tricked her & she ate.
God sent them out of the garden forever. God
made the serpent crawl on his stomach. God told
Adam that man would have work hard to eat. It
would never be easy for Adam and Eve again.
 Two kinds of sin:
Venial Sin and Mortal Sin

Venial Sin
a small sin
a lesser sin
forgivable sin
it is not a deadly sin
 Two kinds of sin:
Venial Sin and Mortal Sin

Mortal Sin
a big sin
deadly sin
•We lose the reward of eternal life and are
excluded from the kingdom of heaven
•We are separated from the friendship of God
because we reject His love
•We freely rejected God’s law and grace by
living a life that is opposite to the will of God.
