• SLEEP DEPRIVATION MEANS YOU’RE NOT GETTING ENOUGH SLEEP. FOR MOST ADULTS, THE AMOUNT OF
SLEEP NEEDED FOR BEST HEALTH IS SEVEN TO EIGHT HOURS EACH NIGHT.

• FOR NURSING STUDENTS, SLEEP DEPRIVATION IS ONE OF THE MOST COMMON FACTORS THAT AFFECTS
THEIR ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE AND IS THE RESULT OF THE HUGE AMOUNT OF TIME THEY SPEND IN
STUDYING AND COMPLYING IN ALL THEIR SCHOOL REQUIREMENTS.

SPECIFICALLY, THIS STUDY SOUGHT TO ANSWER THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS:
1. WHAT IS THE PROFILE OF THE NURSING STUDENTS IN TERMS OF THE FOLLOWING:

1.3 CIVIL STATUS

3. WHAT ARE THE COPING MECHANISMS THAT NURSING STUDENTS USE TO DEAL WITH SLEEP DEPRIVATION?

• THE PURPOSE OF THIS STUDY IS TO DETERMINE HOW SLEEP DEPRIVATION AFFECTS THE PERFORMANCE OF THIRD YEAR
NURSING STUDENTS AND HOW THEY DEAL WITH IT.

• TO DETERMINE HOW RAMPANT IS SLEEP DEPRIVATION IN THIRD YEAR NURSING STUDENTS


• TO INVESTIGATE HOW STUDENTS COPE WITH THE EFFECTS OF SLEEP DEPRIVATION
• TO GAIN BETTER UNDERSTANDING ON HOW STUDY HABITS RESULT IN SLEEP DEPRIVATION
