• If you do not have enough for
the entire class you will not
pass any out.
• I will call your name to pass
out yours once you are done sit
back down so I can call

 Writing Assignment for the day
Get your journals out and change to
a clean page and put today's
date. Grab a pencil and then sit
quietly doing the writing
assignment.
Once you are done close your
Journal and bring it to me at my
desk. Then you can read quietly or
quietly wait for others to be done. 
• I want you to write
about something or someone you
love. 
• I want at least a half of a paper of
writing for this assignment.
• Make sure to use periods and
other punctuation marks!!
 Reading
Today we will finish reading The Secret River.
Tomorrow we will be writing about what we read.
How compared to our lives Calpurnia's is
different  and what has changed from that time in
the past. Keep this in mind as we finish this
book.

Rainbow Roses
Today we will be looking at the rainbow rose experiment we did a few
days ago to see how they changed colors. Today you will also be taking
them home to your family as a gift for them.
• Grab your science journal. Label a new entry with today's date.
• Get your flowers they should have your name on them.
• Once you have both items observe your flowers and see how they
changed colors. 
• Why do you think they changed colors? Write about this in your
journal. 
Once you write your answers I will come around and stamp them to make
sure you answered. We will discuss why and how they changed colors.
Once we discuss the answer write the correct answer or if you wrote the
correct answer elaborate on it. 
 Math
We will be working on a paper today.
Solve the equation and then match the color to the answer you received. As
you go you will color the picture. 
You will need either colored pencils or crayons to do this work sheet so get
some before you start.
