 Integrated Safety Elements
 Trench roller can be operated from outside the trench using the remote
control
 Infrared Line-of-sight remote control allows the machine to move only when
the operator is facing the machine from a safe distance away
 The machine is disabled as soon as the line of sight between operator and
device is lost
 The proximity recognition sensor stops the RT as soon as it is within
2 meters of the operator
 Patented 3 receiving eye design ensures that the line-of-sight remote
control contact is maintained permanently, even in trench shoring
 The control uses two separate joysticks for advancing and turning the
machine. This results in less “corrective” steering for the operator. When
the joysticks are released, the machine will stop.

 Articulated Steering
 The articulated joint increases the maneuverability
around curved building segments, such as pipes and
manhole covers, without ripping up the ground that has
just been compacted.
 Allows the roller to make tight turns in confined spaces
and easily maneuver around objects.
 This provides for an inner turning radius of 63 inches,
getting the machine into and out of tight areas easily .

 Drum Width
 Many trenches are excavated using 24” or 36” excavator buckets.

 RTLx-SC3 is specifically designed with drums to be narrower

(22 and 32 inches wide).
 The slightly narrower profile allows the machine in each configuration
to fit inside the trench without scraping the edges.  
 Some competitors use a 24” drum which means that their machine will
scrape the edges of the trench and knock additional soil off the sides
as they compact the base.
