Use the present perfect
1. Describe an action or event that started in the past and continues in the present.
Ex: he has stayed with her parents since he graduated.
2. Talk about an action or event that happened many times in the past.
Ex: Our family have seen this film three times.
3. Describe an experience up to the present time
Ex: I have never been to America.
4. Talk about past actions when the time they happened is unknow or unimportant.
Ex: I've seen this movie before
5. Describe an action that just happened  and it consequences still affect the present
Ex: I have broken my watch so I don’t know what time it is.
Signal words for the Present Perfect
• Just, yet,never, already, ever, so far, up to now, recently ,since, for.
• Ever = at any time in the past up to now.
• Never= at no time in the past.
• Use yet or already to talk about whether  an action has been completed. Use yet in
questions and negative sentence . Use already in affirmative sentence.
Present perfect structure
1. Affirmative : 
Subject+   have/has + the past participle.

2. Negative: 
Subject+   have/has + not + the past participle.

3. Question: 
Have/ has +subject + the past participle?
