Introduction
• The writing process is name for the series of steps that you should
follow when doing longer pieces of writing for your subject
teachers.
PRE WRITING PROCESS
• While you are writing your first draft, you may find
that you need some more information
• The beginning and end of your writing are particularly
important, and you should take time to get these right.
POST WRITING/ REVISING
This is a very important stage of the writing process and may you have to
repeat it three or four times before you are satisfied with your writing.
It is very useful to ask another student or your teacher to help you revise
your work.
PROOF READING/EDITING
When you have revised a piece of writing for its content, you are
ready to check it for its accuracy This is called editing and
includes checking the ff:
1. Grammar
2. Spelling
3. Punctuation
4. Capitalization
1. GRAMMAR
English grammar covers a huge area and you cannot check for
everything separately the best idea is to concentrate forst on
verbs (tenses and forms)
2. SPELLING
4. CAPITALIZATION
Check that your sentences all start
3. PUNCTUATION with a capital letter.
When you are revising your writing, you should check to
make sure you have not written any run-on sentences or
sentence fragments.
PROOF READING/DRAFTING
• You can also change The order you check your writing
to suit yourself, but its best to work through the text
systematically.
PUBLISHING
• At this final stage of the writing
process, there is one last thing to
think about it.
