1. Direct lighting ( Sunlight , Study table lamp, Bed spotlight soffit, Soffit )
2. Indirect lighting ( Cove light, Torchiere. Sconce, Table torchiere, mirror light )
3. Semi direct Lighting ( Bedside Shaded Lamp)

• FUNCTION OF LIGHT –
1. Ambient lighting ( Cove light , Soffit , Shaded Lamp , Torchiere )
2. Task lighting ( Study table lamp , Bed headboard soffit )
3. Accent Lighting ( Wall sconces , Mirror light, Table Torchiere)

LUX OF DIFFERENT PLACES
• Lux: Lux is a unit of light measurement where the area is also taken into account. Lux is
used to measure the amount of light output in a given area. One lux is equal to one
lumen per square meter.
 Recommended level of light
1. Bedroom (adult) General 100–300 lux
Task 500 lux
2. Bedroom (child) General 500 lux
Task 800 lux
3. Wadrobe 300–700 lux
